Missing Israeli tourist on Mt Taranaki

Sunday 5th February

 We finally got our first operation of the year on Sunday 5th February. A couple found themselves further along the Curtis Falls Track than anticipated. What they thought was a loop track wasn’t taking them back to the start and their vehicle. A team of three was sent out along the Maketawa Track to meet up with them. The male was a little worse for wear and very glad to see the rescuers.
